Combat Diabetes with Nutrient Rich Dairy
“Diet is a cornerstone of therapy for individuals with
diabetes. According to the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, moderate
evidence indicates that consumption of milk and milk products is associated
with a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. The report discusses key research
findings on the role of dairy foods in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes and
the diary nutrients and components—such as calcium, vitamin D, and dairy
protein—that may contribute to its beneficial effect.” - Dairy Research Institute
